Rudraksh
Rudraksha is a sacred seed traditionally used as a prayer bead in Hinduism, Buddhism, and other spiritual practices. The word Rudraksha comes from Sanskrit — “Rudra” meaning Lord Shiva and “Aksha” meaning tear — so it is believed to be the “Tears of Lord Shiva.”
Rudraksha beads grow on the Elaeocarpus ganitrus tree, mainly found in the Himalayan regions of Nepal, India, Indonesia, and parts of Southeast Asia. The seeds are covered with a blue outer shell when fresh, which is why they are sometimes called “Blueberry Beads.”
